Hestia Control Panel is a free, open-source panel for hosting websites, mail and DNS. A successor to VestaCP: from the web interface you create sites, databases, mailboxes and certificates.

A good fit when you need a full hosting panel without licenses: multiple PHP versions, Nginx and Apache, mail with antispam and webmail, a firewall with brute-force protection.

Installs only on a clean Debian or Ubuntu server.

How to install

Three steps in the bot or one command over SSH; installation takes about 15 minutes.

  1. 01

    Choose a plan in the bot

    Open @ExpressHost_bot and pay for a VPS. The server will be ready in about 60 seconds.

  2. 02

    Add Hestia CP

    At the “Add-ons” step pick the script from the library, or run it later: Server settings → Scripts.

  3. 03

    Answer the installer's questions

    admin e-mail and hostname

Manually over SSH

Connect to the server as root and run the command. Supported systems: Ubuntu 22.04, Ubuntu 24.04, Debian 11, Debian 12.

How is Hestia different from FASTPANEL?

Hestia is fully open source and free, and includes mail and DNS. FASTPANEL is a closed product licensed per IP.

Can I install it without mail?

Yes, the installer has flags for choosing components; bash hst-install.sh -h lists them.

How do I update the panel?

Updates come from the Hestia repository along with apt upgrade.
