What the test measures
A verdict and a recommendation for everyone, the raw data in the result tabs.
Ping and jitter
Round-trip latency and how much it varies. They matter for games, calls, SSH and bots.
Download and upload
Multi-stream speed, like a browser or a bot; the server counts the bytes itself. Usually limited by your connection, not by the server.
Ping under load
How much latency grows during a transfer. Grade A — up to 10 ms, B — up to 30, C — up to 60, D — more.
Route
The path of the packets through hops and networks, MTR and traceroute. Shows where the latency builds up.
Coverage
Ping from the data center to major cities: what your visitors, players or customers will get.
Connection Score
An overall score from 0 to 100: latency 40%, stability 30%, speed 30%.

Frequently asked questions
How do I test the speed to an ExpressHost server?
Pick a data center and the task you need the server for, then press “Start test”. The test measures ping, jitter, download and upload speed and shows how latency grows under load.
Which location should I choose?
For games, bots and remote access — the one with the lowest ping: on the first screen we recommend the closest to you. For backups and streaming the port speed matters more: it is listed for every location.
Why is the speed lower than the server port?
The test hits the narrowest point on the path, usually your plan, Wi‑Fi or router. The server port in the data center is faster than a home connection.
What is ping under load?
It is the latency during download and upload. If it grows a lot, calls and games will lag while something downloads. We grade it from A to D by how much the latency grows.
How do I test the speed from my own server or a terminal?
Under the search bar and in the test result there is an iperf3 command for the selected server. The Looking Glass page has 100 MB and 1 GB test files and the server addresses in every location for ping and mtr.
Can I cross-check the result with another service?
Yes. Our servers are on Speedtest by Ookla and 2ip.ru: the links are on the first screen and in the test servers table.
