How much space do I need for files and photos?
The size of your library plus headroom: Immich thumbnails and transcoded videos add 10–20% to it on average. For a photo archive we plan 2 vCPU, 6 GB RAM, 200 GB NVMe for $16.04 a month; the configurator goes up to 500 GB NVMe.
Nextcloud or Immich?
Nextcloud is a cloud for any files, calendar and contacts, and 1 vCPU, 2 GB RAM, 50 GB NVMe is enough for it. Immich is a photo archive with auto-upload from your phone and face search: its official minimum is 2 cores and 6 GB of memory, the “Photo archive on Immich” plan.
Can I grow the disk when I run out of space?
The disk grows with the plan: change it with the “Plan” button in the server panel in the bot. The new plan applies right away, and the server reboots. You pay the price difference for the rest of the term.
How do I connect a domain and HTTPS?
The server gets a *.expresshost.cloud domain right away; your own domain is connected in the bot, under “DNS / Domains”. A Let's Encrypt certificate is issued by Caddy or Nginx Proxy Manager, both in the library.
